Let me serve you, the PEOPLE of Rutherford County
District 19
We are in challenging times in our country, and we need leaders who truly represent the people—not special interests. I’m running for office because I believe our community deserves a voice that listens, acts, and stands for every resident of District 19 and the county.
I will ensure our commission works for the interests of all the people, not just a select few. I’m committed to protecting our democracy from the grassroots up and building a community our children and grandchildren can be proud of.
I promise to dig deep into every issue, cut through the noise, and deliver real solutions that improve lives right here in Rutherford County. Together, we can create the strong, fair, and thriving community we all deserve.

The quote above is my campaign's mission.
Learn what I believe about the challenges this county faces, and what we face in the future. Let's prepare now.
I will support policies that attract businesses that provide good, stable careers that offer personal growth for our individual residents. Though low paying businesses have their place, I will not be celebrating ribbon cuttings and ground breaking for businesses that create dead ends.

43% of our citizens are impoverished or are living paycheck to paycheck.
People that work here should be able to afford to LIVE here.
Our median income is $83,871. Using the 4x formula, an affordable home would be $335,484. The average home price in 2025 is $435,000.
We need to find a way to incentivize builders to create affordable homes through land use and density where it makes good sense.

Rapid growth puts pressure on our air and water, our lifeblood. We continue to stuff the landfill with our garbage, including 33 other counties and 6 other states. We should never expand the landfill, nor should we send our garbage off to another county without doing everything we can to reduce our impact on other Tennesseans.
We should've implemented REAL recycling programs and implemented Tennessee Waste to Jobs EPR programs 15 years ago. Let's not wait another election cycle to get this done.

Every classroom should have the supplies they need to do their jobs without help from charities.
We should NEVER accept a child with learning challenges because they're HUNGRY.
Privatized programs take money away from public schools and create more challenges for marginalized families.

Our citizens are saddled with huge commute times between home and work. This takes away personal growth opportunities. We need real mass transit solutions locally and regionally.
Using walking and biking as transportation should not be a death wish.
Kids that live close to schools should be able to walk safely to school.

The property owners of this county have read about the dysfunction between the property assessor, the county mayor and the commission. We're all going to pay for this.
Our financial reports continue to disappear from public view on the county website.
I will work towards a government we can all trust.

I've been a volunteer servant to the community, literally my entire life. I will continue as Commissioner for no other reason than to continue that work. Read more about my journey!
I’ve spent decades professionally leading diverse teams to tackle tough projects and solve complex problems. I know firsthand that healthy teams — including the County Commission — thrive on respectful dissent and honest debate. I will stand up for that culture and support it, regardless of party, working alongside Democrats and Republicans alike to get things done.
My 28 year career with a large healthcare organization kept me busy with IT integration work and most currently IT Information Protection, protecting sensitive information and preventing service interruptions to caregivers and patients. I currently work full time.
I don’t make promises I don’t intend to keep.
I value every resident of Rutherford County — no matter their color, religion, ethnicity, gender, or who they love. Diversity strengthens our community; it should never make life harder for any of us.
Transparency is non-negotiable for me. My constituents will always know why I vote the way I do — whether through my public statements, social media posts, or a conversation in the grocery store. You'll never misunderstand how I'm rationalizing an issue.

Tennessee has some of the lowest voter turnout in this country. Let's change that. Make a plan for early voting or on August 6, 2026.
